The \u201cHunt the Stamp\u201d project shifts the focus from the center to the outskirts of the capital of Tsakonia, \u201cshedding light\u201d on<\/span> 15 communities<\/b> in Southern Kynouria: Leonidio, Pragmatefti, Melana, Tyros, Kosmas, Poulithra, Pigadi, Peleta, Kounoupia, Vlisidia, Tsitalia, Paliochori, Ag. Vasileios, Platanaki, Mari.<\/b><\/p>

As part of the \u201cCommunities\u201d theme, <\/span>15 visual artists are creating one original stamp<\/b> for each destination. Each stamp is placed at a distinctive location within the destination, which will be announced through the festival\u2019s channels (e.g., a caf\u00e9, a church, the community office). <\/span><\/p>

Visitors are invited to look for the stamp, stamp their personal \u201cpassport\u201d \u2014a fold-out \u201cnotebook\u201d specially designed for Melitzazz\u2014and to collect, throughout their journey, a unique collection of artworks. Each stamp is tangible proof of a visit; each page, an encounter with a community.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Leonidio is the (famous) hub of an entire region, within which communities \u201cnestle,\u201d forming settlements of varying sizes\u2014villages and small towns. This year\u2019s event aims to shine a light on these small \u201cdots\u201d on the map, highlight the unique characteristics of each one, and invite visitors\u2014both to the festival and to the wider region\u2014to make them part of their travel experience.<\/span><\/p>

Through a participatory and exploratory approach, the project maps out a broader cultural and social network, highlighting the connections between communities. This strengthens cultural tourism on a regional scale, while simultaneously fostering a sense of shared identity and interdependence among local communities.<\/span><\/p>
