Akis Polyzos was born in Giannitsa in 1987. He has directed short films, commercials, TV series, and music videos. In 2013, he received the Best Newcomer Director Award at the Drama Short Film Festival for his film Synthiki 1060. In 2022, he co-directed the TV series MAESTRO with Christoforos Papakaliatis.
