After the loss of his sister, Japanese artist Yamamoto explores the ephemerality of life by creating intricate salt installations in memory of his lost loved ones. A film about death, salt and art.

Sylvia Nicolaides studied Film in Prague, while Nicolas Iordanou studied Photography in Chicago. They have been working together as a filmmaking duo since 2012, with their work featured at festivals such as Tampere, Raindance, In the Palace, and POFF Shorts, among others.

About the Event

The Melitzazz Festival aims to showcase and promote the rich cultural heritage of Tsakonia in a modern and creative way. History, tradition, architecture, the Tsakonian dialect, weaving, and Tsakonian dance intertwine with traditional and contemporary music, events, culinary experiences, workshops, seminars, and film screenings.
