Face Painting by Moutzoures

The Moutzoures are coming to Melitzazz 2026 to add even more color to the festival, and they’re waiting for us to enjoy some jazz-infused Moutzoures, eggplants, and other delicacies:
(a) On Friday, July 3, starting at 7:00 p.m., in the courtyard of the Old Leonidio High School.
(b) On Saturday, July 4, starting at 8:00 p.m., in the courtyard of the Tsouchlos Mansion.
 
This event is for all ages!
 
Moutzoures is an artistic group of face painters that has been active in the children’s entertainment scene since 2019, with numerous appearances at festivals in Athens. They love to create colorful stories with their brushes, using as their canvas all creatures—young and old—who seek the joy of transformation.

The Melitzazz Festival aims to showcase and promote the rich cultural heritage of Tsakonia in a modern and creative way. History, tradition, architecture, the Tsakonian dialect, weaving, and Tsakonian dance intertwine with traditional and contemporary music, events, culinary experiences, workshops, seminars, and film screenings. Scattered events and street concert stages stretch through the alleys and squares of Leonidio. In the town’s architecturally distinctive mansions and tower houses, visitors can explore historical exhibitions and installations, contemporary art exhibitions, workshops, and film screenings.
