The South Kynouria Adult Choir was founded in 2011 on the initiative of a group of artistically-minded people from Leonidio and Tyros who share a love of choral singing.
The choir’s first conductor was Stefanos Kardiolakas, under whose direction the choir gave its first concerts, mainly in Leonidio. From October 2016 to the present, Stavros Koutivas has been the choir’s conductor. Since then, it has continued its artistic journey with concerts in Leonidio and participation in various festivals throughout Greece, and starting in the spring of 2023, it has been organizing choral festivals in Leonidio featuring choirs from all over Greece.
It is a three-part mixed choir with approximately 25 members, and, having gained its first experience in polyphonic singing, it now aims to improve through participation in choral festivals as well as by studying challenging polyphonic pieces from the Greek and international repertoires.
At Melitzazz 2026, she will take us on a journey with unforgettable and timeless melodies by Vicky Moscholiou, such as “I Don’t Know How Much I Love You,” “I Looked Into Your Eyes,” “At Dusk,” “Under the Markiza,” and others.
