Bag of Nails are a psych blues/soul rock trio from St. George, Greece. They are characterized by their improvisational style and are inspired by the classic blues, rock and soul sounds from the 50's, 60's and 70's.
Bag of Nails start their musical journey in 2015 and release their first demo "Bag of Nails" in 2016. In 2017 they perform live in the national radio station (Rock Sinanastrofes, ΕRΤ) and share their music with thousands of listeners. In the summer of 2018, they take part and win the first prize in "The battle of the Bands" at the national television's (ERT) summer festival "summERTime". On 22 of February 2019 they open for the legendary Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash at "Kyttaro Club" in Athens and receive great reviews. In 2019, they record live their debut full length album “The Wolf Inside Me” at "Shakti Studios", which has been officially released on vinyl by Nasoni Records (Berlin, DE) and on all digital platforms at the end of December of the same year. Music magazines of international scope ("Blues Blast", Chicago, Illinois amongst others) write rave reviews about it while "The Rockpit" magazine (Perth, Australia) ranks "The Wolf Inside Me" #2 of the best blues albums of 2020 over releases by Joe Bonamassa, The Allman Betts Band, Dion, Blues Pills and many others. In 2022, with a renewed line-up, the addition of keyboards and their complete installation in the countryside, Bag of Nails get back to monkey business again and are more ready than ever to reconnect with all the hippies, all the lovers and all the night trippers. In 2023 and 2024 they give many memorable live performances along the country, with those at the historic Halfnote Jazz Club and Jazzet Music Hall being the highlights, while producing absolutely live and analog their second album which is about to be released soon. In summer of 2025, they hit the stage of the 2nd Hellenic International Jazzet Festival making a real buzz. In September of 2026, they are ready to fly to Norway for the legendary Blues in Hell Festival. This is goin’ to be their very first appearance beyond Greece’s borders among international blues artists.
